Description
These mini-tutorial provide an introduction to essential tools and techniques for using the ELIXIR Lesson template. Participants will learn to utilize Markdown for creating well-structured and formatted documents, enhancing their ability to produce accessible and collaborative lesson content. The course also covers the fundamentals of Git and GitHub, enabling learners to effectively manage version control, collaborate on projects, and maintain a structured workflow. Additionally, the course illustrates the creation of high-quality scientific visualizations using a variety of tools, including traditional programming libraries, diagram creation software, and AI-powered solutions. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the skills to start using the ELIXIR lesson template.

Prerequisites
To be able to follow this course, learners should have knowledge in:
 1. Basic knowledge of working with text editors  2. Basic knowledge of creating illustrations

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
 1. Utilize Markdown to create well-structured and formatted documents for ELIXIR lessons, incorporating various elements such as headers, lists, and images.  2. Compare the key concepts of Git & GitHub, including repositories, branches, commits, pull requests, issues, and project boards, and their roles in version control and collaboration.   3. Implement various tools and techniques for creating high-quality scientific visualisations, including traditional programming libraries (R, Python), diagram creation software (BioRender, Inkscape, Graphviz), and AI-powered solutions (Napkin AI, DeepDream Generator)
