Description
The Galaxy Training! is a vibrant, open-source training infrastructure by the GTN that empowers learners, educators, and researchers worldwide. With over 490 tutorials covering bioinformatics, data science, and beyond (including Python, R, and command-line tools), the GTN supports training across the entire Training Life Cycle.
This community-driven platform is maintained by 500+ contributors, ensuring diverse, high-quality, and up-to-date resources. GTN goes beyond traditional tutorials, offering learning pathways, slides, videos (tutorials recording, but also automatically generated videos from slides), all designed to cater to self-paced learners, workshop participants, and large-scale events like the Galaxy Training Academy.

Our mission
Galaxy Training’s mission is to democratize access to high-quality, reproducible training in data-intensive sciences. By embracing the Training Life Cycle, GTN ensures materials are FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and adaptable to diverse learning needs. The platform prioritizes collaboration, recognition, and ease of contribution, making it simple for anyone to create, improve, or translate training content. Through initiatives like the Galaxy Training Academy and Train-the-Trainer programs, GTN fosters a global community committed to open science and equitable education.
